LEE JAY HOY
Movement Director
Lee Jay Hoy is a movement director, choreographer and consultant working across fashion, film and advertising. He graduated from Central School of Ballet with a First Class BA (hons) degree in ballet and contemporary dance. During his training and early career, Lee had the opportunity to work closely with some of the world’s leading ballet and contemporary choreographers.
Lee’s performance career includes the lead role of ‘older Billy’ in Billy Elliot the musical in London’s West End, as well as appearing in Baz Luhrmann’s strictly ballroom the musical. These experiences informed his transition into movement direction, where he brings a strong narrative and theatrical sensibility to image-making.
Specialising in directing models, actors, musicians and celebrities, Lee works closely with creative teams to shape and execute precise, expressive movement for camera. His practice bridges performance and fashion, creating dynamic physical language for still photography, film and live projects.
Lee’s clients and collaborators include Zara Larsson, Bimini, Ben Hardy, Lennon Gallagher, Dazed Beauty, Umbro, GQ x Christian Louboutin, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, The English National Opera, and numerous editorial titles including L’Officiel, Wonderland, Numéro, Schön!, Rollercoaster, Cake, Holiday Club, Sicky and Nasty magazine.
